Department of NC Convention 5, 6, & 7 June 2008 

Hotel will be the Sleep Inn at 129 Circuit Lane, Jacksonville, NC 28546 

Reservations MUST  be made by the 1st of May to insure group rates.

Call  910-478-0099 and emphasize that they are with the Marine Corps League. 

Rooms are $ 75.00 + tax   Single bed or double. State what is needed when reserving

Suites are $ 85.00+ tax  Living/dining room and two beds in adjoining room.

Handicapped rooms are available but you must reserve these as soon as possible.

Refrigerator and micro waves in each room plus ironing board w/iron.

Have elevators.

Continental breakfast each morning.

Weight/exercise room available as well as open swimming pool.

 We will have a hospitality room which can be used also to sell wares with host’s permission.. 

Registrations will be set up in lobby for Convention. Usual fee of $ 5.00 per if pre-registered and  $ 7.00 at the door if not pre-registered. 

The Dogs will meet at the Moose Lodge on Friday night at 1800. 

Meeting for Convention will be held on Saturday in the Moose Lodge which is within  ,2 tenths of a mile walking distance from the hotel. 

Suggest since the Dogs are meeting Friday night then the meeting or training classes could be started earlier on Saturday prior to regular meeting. 

Stores, eateries, and everything you need are within walking distance. 

Menu for banquet at the Moose Lodge will be as stated as attached.. The Moose Lodge will  be at the Detachment’s expense for the hall for the day and the banquet. The cost of the dinner would be  $ 17.00 per plate, which is very reasonable. 

As soon as we find out what is available on the base will notify when we send the packet

to each Detachment. (hoping for PX privileges and static displays or active demonstrations.) Department can post it in the web page. Already have affirmation and additional information will be forthcoming. 

There will be an ad book for the Convention and information/prices are herewith provided.
